Installation and Lunch - Annual Church Service at St. Margaret Pattens followed by lunch at Bakers' Hall and the Installation of our new Prime Warden, Lady Lauriston.

Court Meeting - to be held via zoom

Consorts' Basketmaking Day - an invitation to the Consorts from all the Livery Companies to experience Basketmaking



November 2023

Saturday 11th

The Lord Mayor's Show  - Walk with us as we escort willow giants Gog and Magog through the City, in the world's largest unrehearsed parade!

Monday 13th

Stewards' Club Dinner - An evening at the RAF Club for Stewards past and present and their partners. 

Saturday 25th

Family Basketmaking Day - A fun day with friends and family making Christmas decorations of rush and willow - unique festive gifts!




Monday 27th

Red Cross Christmas Market - Monday, 27th and Tuesday, 28th November at Guildhall. Visit our Basketmakers' stall in support of the British Red Cross.

Court Meeting and Livery Dinner - As our first event of the New Year, we will be celebrating our Prime Warden's Scots heritage by raising a glass at our Scottish-themed Livery Dinner at Butchers' Hall. Black Tie with a touch of tartan - and a few surprises in store!

The Clergy Support Trust Festival - St Paul's Cathedral

The Prime Warden's Weekend - Among Friends in Aberdeenshire: Thursday 16th -  Sunday 19th May. The Prime Warden will be welcoming us to Aberdeenshire and Angus - Scotland's Castle Country. We will be making private visits to castles, sampling local produce, including award-winning spirits, and exploring this beautiful part of the world from our base in the foothills of the Angus Glens.

June 2024

Fortnum & Mason Tea and Tour: Tea in the boardroom and a personal tour by Fortnum’s Chair Kate Hobhouse, a Freeman of the Basketmakers’ Company.

Wednesday 4th

Annual Banquet - Our glittering Basketmakers' Annual Banquet will take place at Mansion House, in the presence of The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress, the Sheriffs and their Consorts.

Sunday 29th

Annual Sheep Drive and Livery Fair: Join Prime Warden Lady Lauriston to exercise the right of Freemen of the City of London to drive sheep over the Thames, followed by an informal lunch in Cornhill.

Monday 30th

The Election of the Lord Mayor - Guildhall, followed by lunch at Painters' Hall.
